The management of Kano Pillars Football Club has named Daniel Ogunmodede as their new Technical Adviser for the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier League season.
On Friday, the club’s Media Director, Isma’eel Tangalashi, shared this news in a statement from Kano. Ogunmodede, who fans call “Ijaball,” will lead the club's technical team as they gear up for the new league season.
The statement mentioned that Ogunmodede's appointment is part of a plan to restructure the club. This effort aims to boost the technical team and enhance the club's performance in both local and international competitions.
The arrival of Ogunmodede is seen as a big move towards the club's goal of being a strong contender in the NPFL again. The management hopes to bring back the club's competitive spirit.
According to NAN, Ogunmodede takes over from Muhammad Babaganaru, the former coach of Remo Stars.
Last season, Kano Pillars ended up in 15th place, earning 48 points from 38 matches.
