Sevilla has turned down a €10m offer from newly promoted Serie A team Venezia for Super Eagles forward Akor Adams. The Spanish club is looking for around €25m for the Nigerian striker, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
Adams, who is 26 years old, joined Sevilla from Montpellier in January 2025. He gradually became one of the club’s important attackers after settling in. He ended the season with 10 La Liga goals, including two crucial goals in Sevilla’s last four league matches. These goals helped the club avoid relegation and stay in the top league.
His recent performances have caught the attention of several clubs ahead of the summer transfer window. Teams from the Premier League, France, Italy, and Saudi Arabia are showing interest in him.
Venezia is preparing for their return to Serie A after being promoted. They see Adams as one of their main targets to strengthen their attack and avoid going back to Serie B. They are also looking at Nigeria-eligible forward Gift Orban as part of their plans. However, Sevilla's rejection of their €10m offer means they will need to offer much more.
French club Olympique Marseille is also interested in Adams as they aim to boost their attack. Many clubs in the Premier League and teams from the Middle East are also keeping an eye on his situation.
Despite all the rumors, Adams wants to stay at Sevilla. But he might consider a move if the right offer comes in. Sevilla is open to selling him to help with their financial issues, but they will not accept offers that are too low for his market value.
With Venezia likely to come back with a better offer and more competition for him, Akor Adams seems set for another big transfer decision just over a year after he arrived in Spain.
