An accident on Sango-Ijoko Road on Friday night involved a tricycle and a Howo truck. The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps confirmed that the tricycle rider died in the crash.
Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Public Relations Officer of TRACE, shared this information in a statement to reporters on Saturday in Ota.
He also mentioned that two other men suffered injuries in the accident.
According to Akinbiyi, an eyewitness said the accident happened because of blurry vision at Alasia Bus Stop, heading towards Sango-Ijoko Road.
βThe corpse of the victim has been deposited at Ifo General Hospital while the survivors were taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment,β he said.
Akinbiyi also noted that both the tricycle and the truck were removed from the road to ease traffic in the area.
He urged drivers to be patient and avoid reckless driving to prevent accidents.
