Four teams have made it to the Round of 16 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup after the first Round of 32 matches.

The teams that confirmed their places as of Tuesday morning, June 30, are Canada, Paraguay, Morocco, and Brazil.

Canada got through with a 1-0 win against South Africa on Sunday. Paraguay and Morocco joined them on Monday after winning their matches in penalty shootouts against Germany and the Netherlands.

Paraguay played to a 1-1 draw with Germany. They won 4-3 on penalties at Boston Stadium, which helped them reach the last 16.

Morocco also needed penalties to beat the Netherlands after finishing 1-1. They won the shootout 3-2 at Estadio Monterrey.

Brazil rounded out the list of teams moving on with a 2-1 win over Japan at Houston Stadium. This brought the total number of teams that qualified to four.

Canada will play Morocco in one of the Round of 16 matches on July 4. Paraguay will face the winner of the match between France and Sweden, which takes place on Tuesday.

Brazil will take on the winner of the match between Côte d'Ivoire and Norway.

The Round of 32 matches continue on Tuesday. France will play Sweden, Côte d'Ivoire will face Norway, and co-hosts Mexico will meet Ecuador.

On Wednesday, England will play against Congo DR, the United States will take on Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Belgium will face Senegal.

On Thursday, Spain will meet Austria, Portugal will play Croatia, and Switzerland will take on Algeria. On Friday, Argentina will face Cabo Verde, Colombia will go against Ghana, and Australia will meet Egypt as they all battle for the remaining Round of 16 spots.

The final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is set for July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium.
