Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has graduated with a First Class honours degree in Law.
He shared this news on his Instagram page on Friday. He completed his Bachelor of Laws degree at Wisconsin International University College in Ghana.
Vicker reflected on this achievement on Instagram after finishing his law studies at the university.
Reflecting on this milestone, Vicker said the First Class distinction shows his academic excellence, discipline, strong work ethic, and good analytical and critical thinking skills.
He mentioned that this achievement also brings prestige, recognition, and new opportunities. He wrote, “A First Class Honours in LLB doesn’t automatically make me a better lawyer, but what it does mean is: Academic Excellence, Strong Discipline & Work Ethic, Analytical & Critical Thinking Skills, Prestige & Recognition, and Opportunities.”
But Vicker emphasized that doing well in law requires more than just good grades.
He pointed out that skills like advocacy, emotional intelligence, real courtroom or advisory experience, integrity, and continuous learning are also very important.
“Success in the profession depends on advocacy skills, emotional intelligence, and practical courtroom or advisory experience, character and integrity, and continuous learning,” he said.
Vicker also noted that while having a First Class degree is a strong start, becoming a successful lawyer takes ongoing practice, mentorship, and good character.
“First Class Honours is proof of academic mastery, not professional mastery. It’s a strong foundation, but becoming a great lawyer requires practice, mentorship, and character,” he added.
