Celtic won the Scottish Cup on Saturday, beating Dunfermline 3-1. This victory completed the double just a week after they won the league title.

Celtic took control early, scoring two goals before half-time. Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels found the net at Hampden Park.

Kelechi Iheanacho added a third goal after the break. Josh Cooper scored a late goal for Dunfermline, but it was too little to change the outcome of the match.

This win marks Celtic’s ninth straight victory across all competitions. They have found their best form under interim manager Martin O’Neill.

O’Neill’s leadership brought Celtic to their 43rd Scottish Cup win. This finish to the season has been remarkable for him.

The 74-year-old has now won nine major trophies as Celtic's manager over 26 years.

Celtic has now achieved the double of the league title and Scottish Cup for the 14th time.

O’Neill is in his second stint as caretaker manager of the Glasgow club this season. He has not yet decided if he will return next season.

It was fitting for O’Neill’s potential farewell to be against Neil Lennon, Dunfermline's boss. Lennon was an important player for O'Neill at Celtic and Leicester in his earlier coaching days.

Last weekend, Celtic clinched the Scottish Premiership title. They came from behind to win 3-1 against Hearts on the final day of the season.

Celtic finished just two points ahead of Derek McInnes’ Hearts, who led the table for much of the season.

Hearts were unhappy about a controversial penalty that helped Celtic secure a win at Motherwell in their second-to-last match.

In the Scottish Cup final, Celtic took the lead in the 19th minute. Alistair Johnston sent a pass to Maeda, who lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper, Aston Oxborough.

Celtic doubled their lead in the 36th minute. Engels scored with a strong shot from 25 yards that left Oxborough unable to react.

Iheanacho then scored in the 72nd minute. He received a pass from Benjamin Nygren and skillfully avoided three defenders before finishing.

Dunfermline got a goal in the 79th minute when Cooper scored on the rebound after Charlie Gilmour’s shot was blocked. Still, Celtic was never at risk of losing their lead.
