Chelsea FC is now the team with the most expensive squad in the world as we enter the 2025/26 season. They have spent over €1.1 billion to put together their team, according to industry estimates.
They are closely followed by Manchester City FC, which has also crossed the €1 billion mark. Both teams are in a league of their own when it comes to spending on players.
Years of aggressive buying and reshaping their squads have pushed Chelsea and Manchester City to the top of global spending.

- Manchester United FC, €947.5m

- Real Madrid CF, €710m
- Juventus FC, €523.3m
