Four months after telling her fans about her desire to focus on gospel work, actress Tonto Dikeh has shown she is serious.

In February, Tonto, who is also a politician, announced her graduation from a discipleship class at Streams of Joy International, led by Pastor Jerry Eze.

The 40-year-old actress posted a video on her Instagram page showing her discipleship certificate. She talked about a deep spiritual rebirth that changed how she sees life, faith, and service.

A few weeks later, Tonto held her first deliverance service where she helped a schoolgirl she said was under a demonic attack.

Tonto explained that this was God giving her a glimpse of the ministry she is meant to serve in.

“I was delivered from the marine world so that I may become an instrument in His hands to deliver others.

Doing the work

True to her word, the preacher, known before as King Tonto, has kept working on her gospel mission. Whether she is preaching on stage, evangelizing in the streets, or sharing messages online, she is committed.

In her latest sermon, Tonto urged her followers to stay close to God.

“If the tree remains connected to its root, it will flourish and bear fruit.

“In the same way, our lives become fruitful when we stay connected to the Source (Jesus Christ),” she wrote on Instagram.

She said that as we sit at Christ’s feet, walk with Him, and stay in His presence, He helps us grow and allows us to produce fruit that honors God and helps others.

Tonto wrapped up her sermon with a quote from John 15:5: “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”

Faith journey

In a previous post, Tonto shared her views on faith and the importance of building a closer relationship with God through the Bible and fellowship.

Quoting James 4:8, which says “draw near to God, and he will draw near to you”, she said faith should not only exist inside church buildings.

“God desires a real relationship with us, not just moments of emotion, but a life that walks closely with Him each day,” she wrote.
