Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi says he is ready to work with whoever becomes the club’s next manager. This comes after Marco Silva left the team following five years at Craven Cottage, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

The 30-year-old became a key player for Fulham under Silva. He is now the Nigerian with the most Premier League appearances. He also reached a career-high for goal involvements in a single season.

However, Fulham did not renew Silva's contract, and many think this decision hurt the club's chances of playing in Europe. They missed out by just one point.

Silva has now signed a two-year deal with Benfica, which has an option for another year. Fulham has not yet found a replacement for him.

The club is said to be talking with former Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa, but they have not reached an agreement yet. Championship title-winning manager Frank Lampard, who coached Iwobi at Everton, has also been linked to the job.

When asked about the uncertainty of who will be the next manager, the Super Eagles player stayed calm. He trusts he can adapt to any new system a coach brings in.

“Yeah, I mean, I can only go off my experience with the national team and at Everton,” he said in quotes from TalkSPORT. “I’ve had several managers there, so it won’t be difficult for me to adapt. We’ll be ready to play for whoever the manager is.”

Iwobi has praised Lampard for helping him at Everton. He would welcome the chance to work with the former Chelsea midfielder again.

“Of course, I’ve worked with Frank Lampard before and he’s someone I really enjoyed working with,” he said. “But I don’t really mind as long as the manager that comes in wants to help better the club and so do the players. So whoever the manager is, we’re ready to work with them.”

“Obviously, when we got told that Marco was leaving, I was active. Thinking, ‘Oh no, who are we going to get in next?’ But ever since then, it’s been pretty quiet,” the midfielder concluded.

Iwobi’s contract with Fulham runs until the summer of 2028.
